Kingston Police Street Crime Unit arrest individual for trafficking drugs

Over the course of the past month, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit received information regarding a female actively involved in the sale/distribution of fentanyl within the City of Kingston.

 

An investigation was commenced culminating in a traffic stop in the area of Portsmouth Avenue and Johnson Street on April 19, 2024. During a search, incident to arrest, officers located in her possession a large quantity of multi-colored fentanyl (packaged for sale), crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine as well as a large quantity of Canadian currency.

 

Ashley ANTHIS, a 39-year-old individual who resides locally, was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime (Canadian currency).

 

Investigators discovered that this individual was currently on a previous release order for several counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, weapons dangerous and possession of proceeds of crime. She was held pending a bail hearing at 705 Division Street.

 

Seized during the arrest was the following:

 

  1. 246.4 grams of fentanyl
  2. 9.5 grams of crack cocaine
  3. 9.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  4. Large quantity of Canadian currency
