Police seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect

24-13467

On April 26, 2024, a lone male entered a local grocery store located near the intersection of Montreal Street and Railway Street in the City of Kingston.

The male suspect purchased two cans of an unspecified beverage. The suspect put the cans into a small bag before demanding cash from the cashier. When the cashier did not comply, the suspect attempted to pull out a large knife. The suspect then walked toward the door and, prior to leaving, took a case of chocolate bars before running outside.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, with a clean-shaven face and dirt-covered hands. The suspect was wearing a heavy dark blue jacket with a black hoodie pulled up over a baseball cap. The baseball cap had a red beak with a white "C" stitched inside a black circle. Further, the suspect was wearing a beige, red and white glove on his left hand and the right-hand glove was beige with a dark palm.
