Freedom of Information Request

Pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act (the Act), individuals can make a request for information or correction to a record. A request must be made by submitting a written letter requesting information or by completing an Access Request form available through the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Requests can be submitted in person or delivered to the following address:

Requests for access to records must be accompanied by a $5.00 Application Fee mandated under the Act. In person, fees may be paid in cash, Interac/Debit, Visa or MasterCard, cheque made payable to Kingston Police Service.  If payment is by mail, send a cheque or money order made payable to the Kingston Police Service along with your request.  Any request for personal information must be accompanied by 2 forms of identification, one being government issued photo ID for each applicable individual.
