    On June 10, 2023 at approximately 10:35 p.m. the accused, Brian LEONARD, attended police headquarters to turn himself in to police in regards to his outstanding charges of assault, mischief and uttering threats.

  • Police issue warning regarding scams involving obscured and obfuscated links

    Recently, researchers have discovered another technique that cybercriminals use to try to steal your information. In this technique, cybercriminals are using obfuscated links to show IP addresses instead of websites. Obfuscated links are URLs that have been modified to hide the real location of a website.

  • Wanted male sought after recent assault and threat offences

    A 30-year-old local man, Brian Stephen LEONARD, who had a recent bench warrant issued for his arrest, is additionally being sought by Kingston Police after an event where he became violent and threatening towards a family member.

  • Arrest made in theft of over $4000 in tools from construction site

    On May 15, 2023 an officer observed the accused with a newer bicycle that was suspected to have been recently stolen. The bicycle was seized for further investigation and later confirmed to be the reported stolen bicycle.

  • Man arrested for threat and assault

    On June 8, 2023 the victim and accused were in their mid-town residence. Just before midnight the accused threatened to slit the victim’s throat. The victim called a crisis line, but the accused took the phone and hung up.

  • Arrest made in relation to early morning sexual assault

    Kingston Police have made an arrest in relation to a sexual assault that occurred at 2:00 a.m. on May 31, 2023 in Churchill Park.

  • Public help requested to identify break and enter suspects

    On May 26, 2023 at approximately 8:30 p.m. police responded to a break and enter at 100 Innovation Drive in Kingston’s east end. Officers searched the building, however no suspects were located at that time. Windows were smashed and some damage was done inside the building.

    Over the last five days Kingston Police Traffic Safety Officers have charged four persons with Stunt Driving. A person may be charged with stunt driving when driving 40 km/h or more over the speed limit on roads with a speed limit less than 80 km/h or driving 50 km/h or more over the speed limit.

  • Police wish to speak with Good Samaritan who intervened during sexual assault in midtown Kingston

    Kingston Police investigators are attempting to identify and speak with a Good Samaritan who intervened during a sexual assault which occurred on May 28, 2023 at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the parking lot of an apartment building located in the 200 block of Queen Mary Road in midtown Kingston.

    After a long 4-year hiatus, the Special Olympics Ontario School Championships will officially open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 6th with Opening Ceremonies hosted at Queens University Athletic Centre from 7:30pm – 9:00pm.
