Calls for service from February 7, 2019

Kingston Police had 135 calls for service during the 24 hour period starting from 5:00 a.m. on February 7, 2019. Of these, 108 calls occurred in the city central area, 20 in the west end, 4 in the east end, and 2 north of Highway 401. Some of these included: 

  • 7 domestic calls
  • 1 sexual assault
  • 2 harassment calls
  • 3 fight/disturbance calls
  • 5 undesirable calls
  • 1 drunk call
  • 1 customer trouble call
  • 1 custody dispute call
  • 2 alarm calls
  • 5 noise complaints
  • 3 missing person calls
  • 3 medical assist calls
  • 19 assist citizen calls
  • 2 break and enter calls
  • 5 theft calls
  • 2 shoplifting calls
  • 5 mischief calls
  • 3 fraud calls
  • 7 motor vehicle collisions
  • 1 impaired driving call
  • 2 parking/vehicle complaints
  • 2 driving complaints
  • 2 traffic concerns
  • 5 suspicious activity calls
  • 1 drug call

There were 10 individuals arrested within the last 24 hours including 6 men and 4 women, between 22 and 60 years of age, for the following: attempt robbery, attempt break and enter, have face disguised to commit an offence, two counts of attempt murder, four counts of reckless discharge of a firearm, use firearm to commit an offence, possession of a firearm while prohibited, possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of theft, public intoxication, two counts of breach recognizance, and five counts of breach probation. Four persons were arrested on warrants.
