CORE

"Engagement, Safety, and Enforcement."

Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) encompasses a variety of units responsible implementing community programs, events and outreach, as well as safety and enforcement. 

The community side of CORE works to resolved concerns and complaints and address on-going community problems. They also actively engage with the community by working with several organizations and liaising with religious groups, cultural associations, social groups, medical outreach programs, and so many others. The community engagement includes visiting schools, working with troubled youth, and attending or organizing a variety of programs and events. These officers will also often deal with issues and concerns regarding marginalized and vulnerable members in the community.  

The safety and enforcement side of CORE works to improve road safety through education and enforcement. They also investigate serious and fatal collisions, utilize drones to assist with missing and wanted persons searches, attend events and protests to ensure public safety, and much more.
