24-28931

In early August 2024, investigators assigned to the Kingston Police Special Services Division received information regarding drug trafficking within the City of Kingston.

An investigation was initiated which culminated in the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances warrant at a local residence on Wednesday August 21, 2024.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 1.25kg of fentanyl powder, 100.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 31.5 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of over $200,000. Officers also located instruments and cookware suspected to be involved in the at-home processing of these illegal drugs.

A 29-year-old female Kingston resident was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The accused was transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Members of the Kingston Police Special Services Division continue to combat the influx of toxic drugs into our community.  This seizure constitutes the largest single fentanyl seizure in Kingston Police history and has prevented the distribution of over 12000 potential doses of this highly addictive and dangerous drug.
