On January 9, 2025, before family, friends, colleagues, board members and The Honourable Gary W. Tranmer, The Kingston Police welcomed new Deputy Chief Scott Gee during his official swearing in ceremony.

Deputy Chief Scott Gee Bio:
Deputy Chief Scott Gee has dedicated over two decades to public service and law enforcement, beginning his career with the Gananoque Police Service in 2003. Throughout his tenure, he has held key roles, including Sexual Assault Investigator, Major Case Manager, and Incident Commander, demonstrating a strong commitment to community safety and effective policing throughout his career.
In addition to his operational duties, Deputy Chief Gee served for 12 years as a training officer, where he played a pivotal role in developing and delivering in-house training programs across three police services. His expertise has been recognized at the provincial level, having contributed to legislative changes and policy development concerning Use of Force reporting and the design and delivery of the Conductive Energy Weapon (Taser) program. He has also been called upon multiple times by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) as a subject matter expert in Taser applications in Ontario.
In May 2021, he was promoted to Chief of Police in Gananoque, where he continues to lead with integrity and a focus on community engagement. Deputy Chief Gee holds a diploma in Police Foundations from St. Lawrence College and has pursued further education at Queen's University and Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Indigenous Peoples studies. Currently, he is enrolled in the Equity & Inclusion Certificate program at Cornell University, reflecting his commitment to fostering inclusive practices within law enforcement.
As the Director of Zone 2 for the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, Deputy Chief Gee actively contributes to regional policing initiatives. He also serves on the board of directors for the Eastern Ontario YMCA, the Gananoque Pride Alliance, and the Municipal Drug Strategy, and is a proud member of Rotary. His community involvement extends to a 30-year commitment to Kingston Special Olympics and 22 years supporting The Law Enforcement Torch Run, exemplifying his dedication to making a positive impact both within and outside the realm of policing.
Deputy Chief Gee was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, and remains deeply committed to serving the community.
Scott is married to his wife Megan and has two children Maren and Elliott.
