On February 2, 2023 the accused was driving eastbound on Taylor Kidd Boulevard. Along a straight stretch of Taylor Kidd Boulevard east of Coronation Boulevard the accused drove off the roadway and into the ditch.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to police headquarters to provide breath samples. The accused was found to have more than double the legal limit of alcohol.
