Kingston cannabis dispensary draws police attention again

Kingston Police Special Services executed a further search warrant at a reopened and unlicensed Cannabis Dispensary at 185 Division Street in the City of Kingston, Ontario.

Kingston Police received further information that an illegal dispensary reopened days after Special Services officers executed a search warrant on November 13^th, 2024. As a result, a second search warrant was granted by a Justice of the Peace under the Cannabis Act on November 19^th, 2024.

Upon execution of the search warrant police located numerous point of sales devices, advertising signage, unstamped tobacco products and Canadian currency with associated registers. Numerous cannabis-based products were also located as follows:

Loose marijuana - 10,061 grams

Pre-rolled Marijuana joints - 765 grams

Hash - 736 grams

Edible gummies and chocolates - 7,967 grams

Street value of $195,290

A local 23-year-old female resident was charged and released on an Undertaking with two counts under the Cannabis Control Act as well as one count of unstamped tobacco under the Criminal Code of Canada. 

The public is reminded that cannabis-related businesses must operate in compliance with Ontario regulations. Illegal operations undermine licensed businesses, public health, and safety.
