Kingston Police arrest individual in relation to October 2021 double homicide

The Kingston Police in partnership with the London Police Service and with the assistance of the Durham Regional Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police and the Toronto Police Service have arrested an individual for the October 16th 2021 murders of Nico Soubliere and Carl Alen Delphin; both from Ottawa.

 

On Saturday, October 16, 2021 the Kington Police Major Crime Unit began investigating a double homicide which occurred in a parking lot on Sydenham Rd near Highway 401 in the City of Kingston.

 

With help from members of the public the Kingston Police were able to confirm the victims had attended the Queen’s Homecoming street parties earlier in the day on October 16, 2021. Investigators were also able to confirm the victims were in the presence of a third individual who was later named a suspect in the investigation. Further video footage of the suspect was obtained during the course of the investigation and investigators were ultimately able to identify Gregory Anthony Beasley of Toronto as the suspect in this double homicide.

 

On August 17, 2022 the Kingston Police arrested Gregory Anthony Beasley in the city of Toronto in relation to the murders of Nico Soubliere and Carl Alen Delphin. Subsequent to his arrest he was transported to Kingston Police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing on August 18, 2022 which resulted in him being remanded into custody. He is charged with two counts of first degree murder, possession of a firearm while prohibited, use firearm to commit an indictable offence, possession of a prohibited firearm without holding a license or registration certificate. More charges are being anticipated as the investigation continues.

 

During the arrest in Toronto, Beasley was found to be in possession of a firearm resulting in additional charges being laid.
