Kingston Police Investigating Serious Downtown Assault

Kingston Police Major Crime detectives, with assistance from uniform patrol, are investigating an altercation between multiple parties in the area of Princess St and Division St that resulted in one male hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 3:00 a.m. on January 31, 2020 an argument occurred between individuals in and around Bubba’s Pizzeria located at 401 Princess St. This escalated to the point where the establishment was damaged and a physical confrontation ensued outside. A 21-year-old male was transported to hospital via paramedics. A 28-year-old male was arrested on scene for assault-related offences, and a 25-year-old male was also arrested for the offences of Uttering Threats and Causing a Disturbance. All involved parties are from the Kingston area.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Kingston Police continue to hold the scene of the pizzeria but Princess St has now been re-opened. Detectives are looking to speak to any witnesses to this occurrence to clarify the sequence of events and are encouraged to contact Det/Cst.
