Kingston Police looking for witnesses in relation to robbery

The Kingston Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a robbery which occurred on February 22, 2025.


At approximately 5:30 p.m. the victim was walking east bound on Union Street in the area of University Avenue when she was approached from behind by two suspects who grabbed onto her purse. 


A struggle ensued and the victim began to yell for help and for the suspects to stop. One of the suspects was able to pull the victims purse away from her and run off with it.


After running approximately 20-30 feet, the suspect dropped the purse and continued to run westbound to University Avenue and then proceeded southbound down University Avenue.


The suspects were described as Caucasian males, approximately 5'7, one of the suspects was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and black pants. The other suspect was wearing a green coloured jacket.


The victim, who was not physically harmed in the incident was able to retrieve her purse and contents.
