Kingston Police Commitment to Community Safety

The Kingston Police Special Services Unit reminds the public that carfentanil is up to 100 times more potent than fentanyl or morphine. Investigators uncovered evidence suggesting potential drug manufacturing activity within the residence, which poses severe risks to drug users and the broader community. Cross-contamination remains a leading cause of overdose incidents and fatalities across Canada.

Kingston Police remain committed to identifying, investigating, and prosecuting individuals involved in the distribution of illicit substances to protect the safety and well-being of the community.

Residents are encouraged to report any information related to drug activity or weapons offenses. Reports can be submitted through the Kingston Police online reporting portal or by contacting Detective Sergeant Shawn Birney at 613-549-4660 ext. 6323.
