Man arrested for threat and assault

On June 8, 2023 the victim and accused were in their mid-town residence. Just before midnight the accused threatened to slit the victim’s throat. The victim called a crisis line, but the accused took the phone and hung up.

 

Kingston Police were contacted by the AMHS (Addiction and Mental Health Services) - KFLA Crisis team. Officers responding to the residence observed the accused pushing the victim to the ground through a window. The officers made their way to the unit and the accused was arrested without further incident.

 

The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing.

 

A 28-year-old local individual was charged with assault and utter threats.
