Polar Plunge Returns to Kingston
In partnership with the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (OLETR), the Kingston Police will be hosting the 2024 Kingston Polar Plunge at Confederation Place Hotel, 237 Ontario St, on Sunday, February 9, 2025 to raise awareness and funds for the athletes and families of Special Olympics Ontario. This non-profit organization helps provide quality sports and training programs for children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities that are only possible through the generous donations that are raised at events such as the Polar Plunge.
Whether you are an individual, organization or business, the Polar Plunge welcomes all do-gooders with a little courage and a warm heart willing to get cold and creative for a worthy cause. All funds raised will support programming and events for 23,000 athletes across the province.
Register yourself, a team or donate in support of those already jumping. As always, Kingston Police will have a dedicated team #FreezinForAReason to brave the cold to support Special Olympics, the charity of choice for law enforcement across Ontario as well as internationally.
For those participating, registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Confederation Place Hotel, with the actual plunging starting on Crawford Wharf at the bottom of Brock Street at 11:00 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on the plungers! Don’t forget your camera.
