Police appeal to public for information regarding possible stranded individual

On March 16, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m. members of the General Patrol Unit responded to a call for service on the south side of Highway 401 between the Montreal Street exit and the Highway 15 exit regarding a person being stranded on a small piece of land waving their arms for help.

Officers also received information from a second a caller that the individual was stranded on a small piece of land approximately 200 feet from the roadway.

Members of the Kingston Police and Kingston Fire and Rescue conducted arial video and thermal signature searches by drone along with physical checks of the surrounding area without locating any individuals.
