Police Investigating Afternoon Bank Robbery

The Kingston Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this matter. 

On September 29, 2022 at approximately 10:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police located and arrested the accused individual without incident.

James LEEDER 30 years old, from Kingston was arrested and charged with the following offences; robbery, possession of a weapon, carry concealed weapon and have mask/disguise.

LEEDER was transported to Kingston Police headquarters where he was held overnight for a bail hearing.

LEEDER attended a bail hearing on September 30, 2022 and was subsequently remanded into custody.

Kingston Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 29, 2022.

 

A lone male suspect entered the RBC located at 65 Princess Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. No one was injured and the suspect fled through the side entrance onto King Street.

 

The suspect is described as an English speaking Caucasian male, 20 to 30 years of age, last seen wearing a black North face sweater, Raptors ball cap, dark jeans, and carrying a reusable shopping bag.
