23-92822

On August 3, 2023, at approximately 2:50 a.m. two suspects attended the rear parking lot of a business located on Bath Road near Gardiners Road in Kingston’s west end.

Security video captured the two suspects breaking into the rear fenced compound, which contained several off-road vehicles. The suspects then proceeded to steal a utility task vehicle (UTV) from inside the compound and then drove the off-road vehicle off the property.

The first suspect was described as wearing dark clothes and they had their face covered.

The second suspect was described as wearing green/brown clothing and had their face covered as well. Both suspects had bags with them, one of which appeared to be green.

On the morning of August 12, 2023, police were notified by a concerned citizen that an abandoned UTV had been located in a wooded area near the train tracks in the area of Taylor Kidd Boulevard and Waterloo Drive. Police attended the scene and located the UTV, which had become stuck in dense underbrush and sustained mechanical damages.

Anyone with information, or who may know the identity of the two involved suspects, is asked to please contact Constable Joanne Geikie at 613-549-4660 ext. 6307 or via email at jgeikie@kingstonpolice.ca.
