Police seek public’s assistance in locating and identifying female assault victim

On Saturday June 24, 2023 at approximately 9:30 p.m. police were in the area of 705 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard in midtown Kingston when officers observed the accused, a 45-year-old local male, assaulting a female victim.
Officers immediately responded to the assault, which occurred outside of a fast food restaurant located at the southeast side of the intersection of Princess Street and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard.
During the arrest of the accused the female victim left the area prior to officers being able to speak with her.
The accused was subsequently transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing. He was charged with assault and three counts of breach of probation.
Police wish to speak with this female victim, who is described as having long brown hair, to garner further information and context in regards to the incident.
