Search warrant leads to drug seizure

Members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit have continued their efforts to combat drug trafficking, reduce public health risks, and prevent dangerous illicit drugs from reaching the community with additional seizures of fentanyl and cocaine.
On December 11, 2024, a Controlled Drugs and Substances warrant was conducted with the assistance of the Emergency Response /Canine Unit at a residence in the Cliff Crescent and Norman Rogers Drive area.
During the operation the occupant of the residence was arrested after officers located and confiscated drug related paraphernalia, large quantities of Canadian currency as well as a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine with a street value estimated over $32,000.
A 30-year-old Kingston resident was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and breach of probation. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and subsequently held for a bail hearing.
During the execution of the warrant officers also located and arrested a 37-year-old Kingston resident who was wanted in relation to intimate partner violence offences.
A third individual, a 59-year-old Amherstview resident who was wanted on three separate Kingston Police warrants, was also arrested inside the residence. Both individuals were transported to Kingston Police headquarters where they were held pending a bail hearing.
Members of the Kingston Police Special Services unit maintain that drug houses and the individuals responsible for the manufacture, distribution and use of illegal drugs have no place in our community. The Kingston Police will remain diligent in the pursuit of bringing these perpetrators to justice.
