Traffic stop leads to multiple arrests and drug seizure

On March 3, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division observed a vehicle exit a parking lot at a high rate of speed in the area of Bagot Street and Ordnance Street.


Officers then observed the vehicle quickly pull into an adjacent parking lot where the driver of the vehicle was observed switching seats with the passenger. 


Officers approached the vehicle and upon speaking to the occupants determined one of the occupants was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant, while the other occupant was bound by release conditions that required them to “remain in their residence at all times”.


A 24-year-old individual from Scarborough was arrested on the strength of the outstanding bench warrant. Upon being searched incident to their arrest officers discovered the individual to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and cocaine. 


A 24-year-old individual from Kingston was arrested for breaching their release conditions. A search conducted incident to the individuals arrest led to the discovery of approximately 14 grams of cocaine.


Both individuals were transported to Kingston Police headquarters where they were held for a bail hearing.
