Two individuals arrested and charged with multiple drug trafficking offences

In August 2023, members of the Kingston Police Drug Enforcement Unit began investigating two individuals believed to be actively involved in trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine within the City of Kingston. As a result of this investigation, on Thursday September 21, 2023, police stopped one of the accused while operating a motor vehicle on Eldon Hall Place, in the City of Kingston, at which time they were placed under arrest for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

 

With the assistance of the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit, two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants were subsequently executed at a residence situated on Division Street, as well as a residence situated on Jean Worrell Crescent, in Kingston. As a result of the execution of these warrants, quantities of fentanyl, suspected carfentanyl, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and a substantial amount of Canadian currency were seized.

 

Joshua SERSON (32) and Nina KERR (35), both of Kingston, were charged with a number of offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, as well as charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, and were both held pending a bail hearing.

 

Property Seized:

 

- 245 grams of cocaine

- 145 grams of fentanyl

- 42 grams of suspected carfentanyl

- 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine

- large quantity of Canadian currency
