Woman strikes vehicle with children inside, multiple times

On Sunday, March 20, 2022 at approximately 1:41 p.m. police responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on Yonge Street.

 

At approximately 1:30 p.m. the complainant attended a parking lot on Yonge Street to pick-up her children. A female resident known to the complainant exited her residence and began arguing over where the complainant had parked. The resident returned inside and called her friend, the accused. Upon her arrival, a physical altercation erupted between the accused and the complainant. When the two separated, the accused got back into her vehicle and intentionally struck the complainants parked vehicle two to three times. The complainant had children inside her vehicle who were not injured.  

 

Responding officers located the accused a short distance away still within her vehicle.

 

The accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was later released on conditions with a future court date.

 

A 27-year-old local woman was charged with Dangerous Operation under the Criminal Code of Canada.
