Youth arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting police

On February 22, 2019 at approximately 10:40 p.m. the male accused engaged his father in a fight at an address in the east end of Kingston. Police responded to the disturbance and upon arrival located the accused in the basement of the residence being held down on the floor by his parents.

The accused actively resisted police however was inevitably arrested and handcuffed. The accused then spat in the eye of one of the officers and proceeded to kick the second officer’s leg. The accused remained combative and belligerent throughout the arrest. The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing.

A 16-year-old local youth was charged with two counts assault police, resisting arrest and breach of probation.
