The Kingston Police Headquarters incorporates conventional security consideration with “green” building design. The headquarters successfully expresses a commitment to environmental stewardship shared by the Kingston Police, the Kingston Police Services Board, and the City of Kingston.
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system representing a holistic and environmentally responsible approach to building design. It is overseen by the Canada Green Building Council, which certifies a building project on the basis of a variety of green building criteria.
The Kingston Police Headquarters has been LEED gold certified.
