  • Dispute over football ends in assault

    On April 4, 2023 police responded to an altercation over a football at a residence on Highway 15.

  • Adult charged with assault on youth

    On April 4, 2023 a youth walking with friends was confronted and threatened by an adult over an alleged issue with another youth. 

    When the youth returned home and his father learned of the incident, the two of them drove to the residence of the accused with hopes of peacefully resolving the conflict.

  • Kingston Police Strategic Plan

    The Kingston Police Board and the Kingston Police are proud to announce the completion of the 2023-2026 Kingston Police Strategic Plan.

  • Person arrested without incident after wielding knife and hammer

    On April 3, 2023 at approximately 12:40 p.m. officers responded to an address in the east end of the city for a report of an out of control individual with a knife.

  • Collision with Hydro Pole Results in Power Outage and Impaired Driving Charges

    At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 a blue Nissan Pathfinder struck a hydro pole in the area of Woodbine Rd and Nottinghill Ave. The pole came down, causing sparking live wires and a power outage to some west-end residents.

  • Failure to cooperate with police during traffic stop ends in criminal charges

    On April 3, 2023, at approximately 2:55 a.m. patrol officers observed a vehicle speeding on Ford Street. As the officers conducted a U-turn in an attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver pulled over and along with passenger rushed toward the front entryway of a residence. The officers caught up to the individuals and requested the driver provide his license.

  • Police asking for assistance to identify assault suspect

    On March 7, 2023 at approximately 1:40 p.m. officers responded to an assault call in the east end of Kingston. The assault occurred at the victims’ residence and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. The attack was not random, however police are looking to confirm the suspect’s identity.

  • Two youths charged in relation to a hate/bias-motivated incident

    An investigation by Kingston Police Hate Crimes Officer and Youth Officer has led to the arrest of two youths in relation to a hate/bias-motivated incident.

  • Impaired driver caught after driving into ditch

    On February 2, 2023 the accused was driving eastbound on Taylor Kidd Boulevard. Along a straight stretch of Taylor Kidd Boulevard east of Coronation Boulevard the accused drove off the roadway and into the ditch.

  • Suspect breaks into restaurant preparing to open

    On February 2, 2023 staff were preparing to open a restaurant on Division Street. At approximately 10:50 a.m. the suspect approached the locked front door and proceeded to force it open. The suspect then entered the restaurant, grabbed an iPad near the front door and immediately fled on foot.
