Individual from Kingston arrested for human trafficking

A multi-jurisdictional human trafficking investigation by the Kingston Police Intelligence Unit began at a Kingston hotel in December 2023. Concerned hotel staff contacted the police about a female who appeared to be a victim of human trafficking.

 

The investigation targeted a resident of Kingston who facilitated the sale of sexual services across multiple cities in Ontario.

 

The investigation concluded on July 16, 2024, with the arrest of the 58-year-old, who is charged with receiving material benefits from sexual services and advertising another person’s sexual services, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

 

This individual was released on conditions pending a court date.
